In my attempt to understand my alien encounter dreams, I have sought insight from one if the experts in lucid dreaming, Robert Waggoner. His book details many aspects of lucid dreaming as well as how to achieve this dream state yourself. He also gives clear examples of dream telepathy, clairvoyance and precognition…some really interesting concepts that relate to our mysterious unconcious inner workings. I wrote an email to Robert asking him what he thought about the idea of extradimensional contact through dreams and, not surprising given the content of his book, he said the following: “Often in lucid dreams and similar states, the experience is ‘reflective’ (as I mention in my first book). So if we expect trouble from a dream figure in a black coat, then he turns around and has a knife. But if we ‘expect’ him to be a spiritual figure, he turns arounds and is a helpful priest. Similarly, in Sleep Paralysis, if we have ‘fear’, then fearful things will appear (e.g., strange people in the room, etc.). Therefore, to understand our experience in these states, we must also pay attention to our mindset at that time (since our mindset gets reflected). Thus a strange experience can call forth something ‘strange’ (like aliens, talking trees, etc.). However, it may call forth legitimate multi-dimensional experiences too.” He also provided a link to an online magazine detailing various articles on alien dreams and contact which I found particularly interesting. I will detail one of these articles in my next post. In the meantime, if you have an alien encounter dream remember to remain open to all possibilities before making conclusions.
